The Section of Cardiovascular and Renal Research (CVR) is part of the Medical Division, Oslo University Hospital, Ullevaal, Norway. The centre is based on a co-operation between the Departments of Nephrology, Cardiology and Acute Medicine.

The centre focuses its research on cardiovascular regulation, hypertension, the autonomous nervous system and responses to stress, insulin resistance, the metabolic syndrome, renal disease and dialysis. Several ph.d.thesis have been based on work at CVR.

CVR consists of two units; one biochemical and one clinical physiological laboratory.
